Grant Writing Basics Course – K-State Research & Extension

K-State Research & Extension is offering a Grant Writing Basics course consisting of two (3-hour) online live sessions with many additional resources. Whether you’ve never written a grant proposal before and have no idea where to start, or for those who have experience but are looking for ways to improve your approach, we encourage you to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring their grants or grant ideas to share.

Heartland Regional Food Business Center Business Builder Subaward Grant Program

Next round opening January 15, 2025 

The Heartland Regional Food Business Center will provide financial assistance through Business Builder (BB) Subawards of $5,000 to $50,000 each to support projects focused on meeting regional needs and increasing capacity among food and farm businesses working toward expansion in local and regional food markets. Eligible to apply are small food and farm businesses or nonprofit organizations either located in or serving the five-state Heartland Center region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska) and/or nine counties in northwest Arkansas (Benton, Carrol, Boone, Washington, Madison, Newton, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson).

DBIA Dairy Business Builder Grant Program

Next cycle opening February 2025 

This grant program is targeted at small-to-medium size farmers or processors. Projects should be aimed at diversifying on-farm activity, creating value-added products, enhancing dairy by-products or export programs. Awards of up to $100,000 in reimbursable grants will be made. 

Applicants must represent a new or existing dairy farm or dairy manufacturing or processing facility in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin to be eligible.
