Warren C. Winter Scholarship
In 2008 to honor Warren C. Winter, of Hillsboro, Kansas, the Kansas Dairy Commission established this scholarship to commemorate his devotion and enthusiasm for the Dairy Industry following his unexpected death.
A dedicated dairyman, Warren was one of the original Kansas dairymen to organize and establish the Kansas Dairy Association in 1994. The educational scholarship was launched in 2008 for Kansas youth pursuing advanced degrees.
The Kansas Dairy Commission offers two, $1,000 scholarships. You can apply online through the Apply Now button below or download our application packet.

Application, supporting information and reference letters due: March 1, 2024
Qualifications include:
Graduating high school senior, current university, community college or technical college student affiliated with a fully participating dairy in the Kansas Dairy Commission check-off.
Involvement or responsibilities with the fully affiliated participating in the Kansas Dairy Commission check-off.
Leadership, participation and contribution in school and community activities.
Future plans after graduation from chosen secondary educational institution.
Kansas post-secondary institutions given priority followed by out-of-state college, university.
May receive only once and not renewable. However, if scholarship not received encouraged to submit again.
